As part of the National Trade Promotion Program and in response to the 2024 Peace Festival, the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized the 2024 Trade and Tourism Fair – Asia-Pacific Bridge – Quang Tri. This is one of the major trade promotion activities of Quang Tri Province and the North Central region in 2024.
Attending the opening ceremony of the fair were Mr. Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department – Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Le Duc Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Fair Organizing Committee; representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade, the Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion Center/Trade Promotion Center/Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center of various provinces/cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, etc. The international delegation included representatives from the Departments of Industry and Trade of Champasak, Se Kong, Savannakhet, and Salavan (Laos), along with enterprises from both domestic and international markets.

In his speech at the Opening Ceremony, Mr. Le Duc Tien, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province and Head of the Fair Organizing Committee, stated that the 2024 Trade and Tourism Fair – Asia-Pacific Bridge – Quang Tri is an opportunity for provinces and cities across the country, as well as those along the East-West Economic Corridor, to showcase their achievements in economics, culture, and society. It also highlights their potentials, advantages, and incentive policies aimed at attracting both domestic and international investors. At the same time, the event provides a platform for displaying and promoting key and distinctive products, communicating and marketing tourism by enterprises, and fostering trade, tourism, and investment linkages. It creates opportunities for enterprises and promotion agencies both domestically and internationally to meet, exchange product information, explore investment opportunities, negotiate contracts, and promote products and brands to consumers and tourists.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade, expressed his belief that the fair would serve as an effective bridge and an important trade promotion channel, providing opportunities for enterprises to engage in trade and seek business cooperation opportunities. He also emphasized that the fair would contribute to boosting trade and investment linkages between provinces in Central Vietnam in particular and the country as a whole, while enhancing trade exchanges between Vietnamese enterprises and those from countries along the East-West Economic Corridor.

According to the organizers, the 2024 Trade and Tourism Fair – Asia-Pacific Bridge – Quang Tri features nearly 400 booths from over 200 enterprises, trade promotion organizations, and units from provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Lai Chau, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, Yen Bai, Hoa Binh. Notably, the fair also includes participation from businesses in Khon Kaen and Nakhon Nayok (Thailand), as well as Savannakhet, Champasak, Salavan, and Sekong (Laos). The fair showcases a wide range of products, focusing primarily on strong sectors such as agricultural, forestry, seafood, and processed food products; handicrafts, furniture (indoor and outdoor); clothing, fashion, and footwear; office supplies, office equipment, toys, household goods; and services in tourism, finance, and banking. Additionally, the fair features food booths from Quang Tri Province, other provinces and cities across Vietnam, as well as from Laos and Thailand.

As part of the fair, several activities will take place, including the Business-to-Business (B2B) trade connection program between suppliers from the North Central region and export enterprises and trade promotion organizations, which will be held on June 7, 2024, at Saigon – Dong Ha Hotel, 01 Bui Thi Xuan, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. Additionally, a training course on applying digital technology in sales for enterprises in 2024 will be held from June 8 to June 9, 2024, at the Huu Nghi Hotel, 68 Tran Hung Dao, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. The fair will also feature product displays, promotions, and business-to-consumer exchanges, as well as the signing of economic contracts and memorandums of cooperation between enterprises.
The fair will take place from June 6, 2024, to June 12, 2024.
