As part of the National Target Program on New Rural Development and the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) Program for the 2021–2025 period, and with approval from the People’s Committee of Quang Tri Province, on the evening of March 21, 2025, Quang Tri Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency, in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Industry and Trade, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong District, the People's Committee of Trieu Co Commune, and related agencies, organized a Fair to showcase and Promote OCOP Products, Specialty Goods, and Agricultural Products of QuangTri Province in Trieu Co Commune, Trieu Phong District.

The opening ceremony was attended by: Ms. Nguyen Hong Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan, Director of Quang Tri Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency;
From Trieu Phong District: Mr. Vu Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee; From Trieu Co Commune: Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, Member of the District Party Committee, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; Mr. Dang Quang Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.
This fair aims to enhance trade promotion efforts; spread awareness and build the brand image of Quang Tri’s OCOP products, specialty items, and Vietnamese goods. It supports businesses, cooperatives, and production units in introducing and distributing their products; seeking distributors; developing product brands; and improving competitiveness in the market. The fair also contributes to increasing the value of OCOP and specialty products, supporting the broader goal of new rural development in Quang Tri. Moreover, it offers local consumers access to high-quality Vietnamese products produced and distributed by domestic companies.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan noted that following the success of similar fairs in past years, in 2025, the Agency will organize three fairs in Trieu Phong, Cam Lo, and Dakrong districts.
This year’s fair in Trieu Co Commune features 20 standard booths from 13 enterprises, cooperatives, and production units in the province. The main products on display include: Herbal extracts, natural essential oils; Macadamia nuts, turmeric powder, wild honey; Processed agricultural products, vermicelli, dried bananas, cashews, passion fruit; Cua chicken (a local specialty), and "Moon Tet Cake" from Dai An Khe.
In addition, the fair includes promotional activities, discount programs, and business networking opportunities for product distribution and cooperation.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong praised the organization and efforts of the Promotion Center in conducting trade promotion activities over the past period. She emphasized the need to not only hold fairs within the province but also strengthen e-commerce, and actively participate in domestic and international trade exhibitions, conferences, and market connectivity events.
She called for stronger engagement from departments, sectors, and localities in developing OCOP products, along with active and effective participation from businesses, cooperatives, and production units.
Thanks to careful preparation, high-quality product selection, and affordable pricing tailored to rural consumers, the fair promises to bring a unique and engaging experience for visitors.
Right on the opening night, the fair attracted strong public interest, with an estimated over 2,000 visitors attending and shopping. This is a positive sign for local producers, indicating increasing consumer trust and interest in Quang Tri’s OCOP and specialty products.
The fair is taking place at the Cultural and Sports Center of Trieu Co Commune, Trieu Phong District, Quang Tri Province from March 21 to March 23, 2025.
