As part of the provincial government’s directive to strengthen cooperation in investment and trade promotion with Lao provinces, on April 2, 2025, Quang Tri Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency (IPA Quang Tri) organized a delegation to participate in the 5th Exhibition of Ho Chi Minh City and Friendly Provinces in Savannakhet, Laos.
This annual event, jointly organized by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the government of Savannakhet Province, took place from April 2 to April 6, 2025, and holds significant importance in fostering friendly cooperation between localities in Vietnam and Laos, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, and tourism.

At the event, IPA Quang Tri set up a booth to showcase and promote investment, trade, and tourism information related to Quang Tri Province, as well as display signature local products. The booth drew significant attention from leaders of Vietnamese and Lao localities, diplomatic representatives, business communities, and visitors. The event provided a valuable opportunity for Quang Tri to promote its development potential, investment environment, and specialty products, while directly connecting with enterprises and distributors from Laos, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries.

Within the exhibition’s framework, two key conferences were held: The Lao-Vietnam Trade and Investment Promotion Conference, and a conference on developing distribution channels for Ho Chi Minh City’s goods into Southeast Asian countries through Vietnamese business associations abroad.
At these events, leaders from IPA Quang Tri engaged in discussions and information exchanges with multiple business representatives and partners from Laos and Thailand. The conversations focused on investment and trade cooperation opportunities between Quang Tri and Lao localities, particularly Savannakhet Province.
