Previously, Vietnam Wafer Joint Stock Company (the Investor) was granted approval for the investment policy and investor selection for the project titled Vietnam Wafer Ultra-High Purity Quartz Materials Manufacturing Plant – Phase 1 of the Vietnam Wafer Semiconductor Materials Manufacturing Complex located in Quán Ngang Industrial Park. This approval was issued by Quảng Trị Economic Zone Authority under Decision No. 81/QĐ-KKT dated June 27, 2025.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Tân – Director of IPA Quảng Trị introduced an overview of Quảng Trị Province, highlighting the province’s key advantages such as its strategic geographic location, transportation infrastructure, and energy resources, as well as several major development projects currently underway in the province. In particular, IPA Quảng Trị provided the investor with updated information on the current status and development orientation of the provincial logistics system, together with production-related input costs such as electricity prices in industrial parks, water supply costs, labor costs, and infrastructure service fees.
During the discussion, Mr. Châu Hoàng Long – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vietnam Wafer Joint Stock Company expressed the company’s interest in gaining deeper insights into investment incentives, especially policies related to export tax, import tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other support mechanisms when implementing Phase 2 of the Vietnam Wafer Semiconductor Materials Manufacturing Complex Project in Quán Ngang Industrial Park, Gio Linh Commune, Quảng Trị Province.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Investor and its partners highly appreciated the information and discussions provided by IPA Quảng Trị. The shared information was considered very useful for developing the project implementation plan in the coming period. The investor also expressed its expectation that provincial leaders, IPA Quảng Trị, and relevant agencies will continue supporting the establishment and implementation of the Vietnam Wafer Semiconductor Materials Manufacturing Complex Project in the province, thereby contributing to the promotion of science, technology development, and innovation in Quảng Trị in the future.
