In accordance with Plan No. 210/KH-UBND dated December 2, 2022, issued by the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Rural Tourism Development Program in building new rural areas for the period 2022-2025,in Quang Tri Province; Plan No. 201/KH-TTXT dated May 6, 2024, from Quang Tri Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Agency (Quang Tri IPA) regarding the implementation of rural tourism development activities in building new rural areas; on the morning of October 4, 2024, Quang Tri IPA organized a community consultation workshop for the project: "Research on Developing Tourism Products Associated with Coffee Experience in Quang Tri" and the launch of the "Khe Sanh Coffee Tour" tourism product in Khe Sanh Town, Huong Hoa District.

The workshop was attended by representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Huong Hoa District People's Committee; Quang Tri Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Agency; the Provincial Tourism Association; the Provincial Travel Association; and more than 100 delegates from government agencies, local authorities, enterprises in tourism, hospitality, food, coffee production and trade, and tourism development experts.
At the opening of the workshop, Mr. Tran Phi Tuong, Deputy Director of Quang Tri Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Agency emphasized: "With over 5,000 hectares of coffee planted in the region, Khe Sanh coffee is proving to be one of the leading agricultural products of the local area as well as Quang Tri province. Based on the coffee-growing and production area in Huong Hoa, coupled with its invaluable cultural, historical, and natural resources, connecting these values will create a unique agricultural tourism product from the Khe Sanh - Huong Hoa region. The 'Khe Sanh Coffee Tour' will not only create a distinctive tourism product for Huong Hoa and Quang Tri province but will also contribute to promoting the province's tourism economy, in line with the province’s key economic sector orientation. Additionally, it will help create jobs, increase income for local residents, and promote the special Khe Sanh coffee to consumers, supporting the sustainable preservation and exploitation of local cultural values."
Recently, the Center has collaborated with experts from the Tourism Department of Hue University and Da Nang to survey and assess tourism sites and routes based on coffee production activities, community tourism destinations, and the natural, cultural, and historical resources of Huong Hoa District. Based on these assessments, the Center developed the project "Research on Developing Tourism Products Linked to Coffee Experiences in Quang Tri" to help Huong Hoa tourism build a coffee-linked tourism product in a systematic manner. The project aims to provide a well-researched, development-oriented approach with depth, ensuring the sustainable exploitation of agricultural and cultural values.

The workshop received many valuable insights and contributions from government agencies, local authorities, businesses in tourism, hospitality, coffee production, and culinary sectors, regarding the Projet Research on Developing Tourism Products Associated with Coffee Experience in Quang Tri, the promotional video for the "Khe Sanh Coffee Tour" tourism product, and the Brand identity for the "Khe Sanh Coffee Tour" tourism product.

Immediately after the workshop, Quang Tri Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Agency organized the announcement and handover of the "Khe Sanh Coffee Tour" product to the Vietnam - Khe Sanh Agricultural Tourism Cooperative.

As part of the program, Vietnam - Khe Sanh Agricultural Tourism Cooperative signed a joint venture agreement for the exploitation and development of the "Khe Sanh Coffee Tour" product with the Quang Trị Tourism Association and Danang Vacations One Member Limited Liability Company.
