Conference on tourism promotion in 2025

On December 9, 2024, in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the Conference on tourism promotion in 2025. The conference was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, tourism management and promotion agencies of localities, and tourism businesses nationwide.

The conference had the National Tourism Administration report on the results of tourism promotion in 2024. The conference assessed that foreign tourism promotion activities have been restored with the same scale, quantity and frequency as before the Covid 19 pandemic, contributing positively to welcoming more than 17 million Vietnamese tourists in 2024, an increase of more than 41% over the same period last year.
Next year, it is expected that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the National Tourism Administration will preside over the organization of 13 activities to introduce Vietnamese tourism abroad and 05 major tourism promotion programs domestically. Tourism promotion activities in 2025 will focus on strongly promoting the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, VITM Hanoi Fair 2025, ITE HCMC Fair 2025; Implement domestic tourism stimulus programs, new tourism programs, product packages with good service quality to increase tourist experience, diversify products, organize Vietnam tourism introduction, invite KOLs, welcome Famtrip groups, implement online marketing campaigns. The tourism industry will also focus resources on markets with a large proportion of visitors, potential markets with quality.
At the same time, improve the effectiveness of cooperation, link promotion and tourism development between 8 provinces of the expanded Northwest, the North Central Coast, the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands, the Southeast, the Mekong Delta, link between tourism centers, distribute tourists to regions. Focus on organizing programs to introduce Vietnamese tourism, connect businesses, organize tourism survey teams, digital marketing, cultural and culinary festivals in Chinese, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, India.
At the Conference, representatives of tourism management agencies from local to central levels, businesses from Aviation, travel, transportation, and accommodation also proposed linkage solutions to improve the effectiveness of tourism promotion in the coming time. The conference discussed the orientation and promotion plan for 2025. In particular, it aims to organize focused, key, large-scale promotion programs that bring about high impact and efficiency.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Tran An Phong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism noted that Vietnam still has a lot of potentials to develop tourism strongly in the coming time with a larger scale, higher efficiency, higher revenue, less environmental impact and more sustainability. In particular, destination promotion activities, the combination between the State and enterprises, between enterprises and the tourism community are very important.
