GRAND OPENING OF GMP-CERTIFIED GOLD HERBAL PHARMACEUTICAL FACTORY – A NEW MILESTONE FOR QUANG TRI’S HERBAL INDUSTRY

On the morning of May 17, 2025, at the 9D National Highway Industrial Cluster, Ward 4, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province, Gold Herbal Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company held the inauguration ceremony of the first GMP-certified herbal medicine factory in the province. This marks a significant breakthrough for the company and opens up major prospects for the development of Quang Tri’s herbal industry.

          The ceremony was attended by Mr. Le Duc Tien, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives from provincial departments, partners, investors, and a large number of the company's staff and employees.

          In his speech, Mr. Le Duc Tien emphasized: “This is a meaningful event that not only demonstrates the breakthrough growth of Gold Herbal JSC but also sets a strategic direction for the development of a high-quality herbal medicine sector applying modern technology in Quang Tri in this new era.”
          “The establishment of the province’s first GMP-standard factory is expected to increase the value of local medicinal herbs, affirm Quang Tri’s position on Vietnam’s herbal map, and support its goal of sustainable international integration.”
          Modern Technology – Honoring the Essence of Vietnamese Herbs
          Gold Herbal is the first enterprise in Quang Tri to specialize in the production of instant herbal tea made from natural medicinal plants. The factory is built to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards, featuring a closed-loop design, vacuum low-temperature extraction technology, and advanced drying systems. These innovations preserve the active ingredients, eliminate impurities, and enhance product quality while remaining eco-friendly.
          Phase 1 investment totals over VND 25 billion, covering 4,750 m², with a daily processing capacity of 3–5 tons of fresh medicinal herbs.
The project is a collaboration between Gold Herbal and research programs of the Quang Tri Department of Science and Technology, representing a model that fuses local knowledge, native medicinal plants, and advanced technologies.

          The flagship product, DILVANG instant tea, is extracted from two native herbs: Polyscias fruticosa (Đinh Lăng) and Jasminum subtriplinerve (Chè Vằng)—both recognized with geographical indication certification. With advanced extraction technology, the product retains its medicinal efficacy while offering convenience and health benefits, paving the way to both domestic and international markets.
          Aiming for a National Brand
          Beyond investing in production, Gold Herbal is committed to building a sustainable herbal value chain through partnerships with local farmers to cultivate clean medicinal plants. This aligns with Quang Tri’s orientation toward high-tech agriculture and modernizing traditional medicine.
