In celebration of the 135th birth anniversary of beloved President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), Nghe An Province, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Public Security, organized the 2025 Sen Village Festival and the inauguration ceremony of the “Uncle Ho Visits His Homeland” monument.
The Sen Village Festival is a significant political and cultural event, bearing profound meaning in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. It is a special occasion to express deep gratitude and respect to President Ho Chi Minh – the national liberation hero and an eminent cultural figure of the world.
The festival not only plays a vital role in disseminating and educating about Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, but also serves as a meaningful opportunity to promote the unique cultural values of Sen Village – his hometown – and to spread the image of Nghe An, a land of extraordinary people, to friends and visitors both at home and abroad.

As part of the Festival, the Quang Tri Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center will organize a booth to showcase and introduce information about tourism, cuisine, and outstanding OCOP (One Commune One Product) items of Quang Tri Province to a wide range of visitors through the exhibition “Ho Chi Minh – The Most Beautiful Name.” This is a meaningful opportunity for Quang Tri to promote the image of a land rich in revolutionary traditions, unique cultural identity, and great potential for tourism and trade development to both domestic and international friends.
This year, the festival is held on a special scale, featuring two main activity streams: Ceremonial Activities and Cultural, Sports, and Tourism Activities.
The Ceremonial Activities will take place from May 16 to May 19, 2025, with solemn and respectful rituals such as the flower offering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Statue – Ho Chi Minh Square, the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh, and Chung Son Temple. A special procession ceremony will also be held, in which a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh will be carried from the Kim Lien Historical Site to the Sen Village Stadium, symbolizing the deep gratitude and respect of the Vietnamese people toward their beloved leader and the tradition of “remembering the source while drinking the water.”
