In order to develop sustainable community tourism, in line with the strategy and planning for tourism development and promote the value of natural advantages, resources, nature, historical relics, scenery; contributing to preserving and conserving cultural identity, landscape, space and protecting the environment, linking with new rural construction and improving people's lives, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 34/KH-UBND dated February 14, 2025 on implementing the Project on developing community tourism in Quang Tri province.

According to the proposed plan, at the recognized community tourism sites in Quang Tri, 30% of the sites have quality traditional cultural and artistic teams (clubs) operating regularly. At least 70% of the owners of tourism establishments providing community tourism services are trained in tourism management; 80% of community tourism workers are trained and improved in professional skills and service for tourists, of which at least 50% are female workers; each community tourism site has at least 1 person who can communicate in a foreign language.

Striving for each new rural district with tourism potential to build at least 1 model of a community tourism chain linked to new rural construction; at least 10% of traditional craft villages in each new rural district have OCOP products linked to community tourism development. 80% of community tourism spots are promoted, advertised, and have information technology applied in tourism activities; moving towards the goal of building a database and standardizing digital maps of community tourism spots nationwide.

Strive to basically develop synchronous community tourism products in key areas with a large concentration of tourists by 2030. Annually, organize the assessment of community tourism destinations according to the National Standards on Community Tourism. Service quality requirements (TCVN 13259:2020), strive to have 10% - 20% of community tourism destinations with a tourist satisfaction level of quite good.
The plan has set out 05 specific implementation tasks, including: Mobilizing, integrating investment policies, supporting community tourism development and integrating, effectively using capital sources; Planning, investing in infrastructure and technical facilities for community tourism development; Developing markets, promoting and linking product development; Preserving and developing cultural values to develop community tourism and Training, fostering and improving the quality of community human resources and management.

In addition, the Plan has assigned specific tasks to relevant departments, and localities to effectively implement the key contents of the Plan for the period 2024 - 2025.
The implementation of this Plan is expected to turn community tourism into a complete product in the tourism system of Quang Tri province, contributing to the preservation of traditional culture, socio-economic development and improving the lives of local people. At the same time, it contributes to the development of community tourism products and services associated with practical experiences in craft villages and traditional cultural values of ethnic groups; forming the characteristics of each locality; forming a coordination mechanism to enhance trade and tourism promotion, gradually building and developing the community tourism brand of Quang Tri province.
