Opening Ceremony of the Savan Fun Fest 2025
The Savan Fun Fest was officially opened on March 19, 2025 at the ancient town of Khanthabualy, Kaysone Phomvihane city, Savannakhet province. This is an annual event of Savannakhet province, not only promoting and boosting tourism and trade, local products but also an opportunity to meet and exchange cultures between the provinces of the three countries of Laos, Vietnam and Thailand. The festival has received great attention from senior leaders and large enterprises of Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
The Savan Fun Fest is an opportunity for the provinces in the region to develop trade, tourism and specialty products. In addition to promotional activities, the festival also organizes art programs, music, fashion shows and painting exhibitions, bringing a vibrant and colorful cultural exchange space. This is expected to become an important highlight in attracting tourists and promoting shopping activities in Savannakhet province. On the opening day, the festival's activities were organized grandly, with parades representing districts, cities, associations, and groups with local tourism and cultural symbols. Booths displayed and promoted regional products of Savannakhet province and provinces and cities of Vietnam and Thailand.

Participating in this festival, Quang Tri province had representatives from the provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency and businesses. At the event, the Quang Tri province booth displayed and promoted information about the province's tourism through images, publications, standees, tourist maps, typical products such as Khe Sanh coffee, Camel beer, fish sauce, herbal tea, dried bananas, turmeric starch. The booth received great attention from visitors to the festival. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the Quang Tri booth was honored to welcome the Governor of Savannakhet province, Bounchom Ubonpaseuth, and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Savannakhet province, Dang Thi Hai Tam, to visit the booth. At the booth, the Governor of Savannakhet province thanked the leaders of Quang Tri province for their attention to Savannakhet province in the past time, especially for sending a delegation to participate in this event at the invitation of the province, and highly appreciated the products of Quang Tri province participating in this festival.

On the opening night of the festival, the Quang Tri Province booth received great attention from a large number of visitors, especially the overseas Vietnamese community living and working in Savannakhet Province. This opened up a great opportunity for Quang Tri to promote its image and products, and at the same time connect directly with businesses and distributors in Savannakhet Province in particular and Laos in general.
The festival took place from March 19 to March 23, 2025, with a variety of activities. One of the highlights was the nightly cultural and artistic exchange programs on the central stage, where visitors could enjoy special performances. In addition, trade connection activities between Vietnamese and Lao enterprises will create opportunities for both sides to strengthen cooperation and expand markets, especially in the fields of tourism and trade.
