A wide range of festive and cultural activities will be held in Quang Tri this year in order to celebrate the 115th birthday of General Secretary Le Duan (April 7, 1907 - April 7, 2022), the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Tri province (May 1, 1972 - May 1, 2022) and the 81-day-and-night battle defending Quang Tri ancient citadel, etc.

Here are some outstanding activities from the issued plan:
- The flag- raising ceremony and military parade at the local Hien Luong – Ben Hai special national monument at 7:00 am on April 30, 2022.
- The ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of Quang Tri's liberation and the 81-day-and-night battle defending the Quang Tri ancient citadel (1972-2022) at 20:00, on May 1, 2022 at the Provincial Cinema - Cultural Center.
Besides, there are a number of other activities, such as traditional boat race, the issuance ceremony of a set of postage stamps: "50 years of protecting the Quảng Trị Citadel", the conference "Quang Tri - 50 years of construction, innovation and development", etc.
This celebration of major holidays in 2022 is a great opportunity for Quang Tri to promote and introduce to domestic and foreign tourists the image, land and people here; draw investors, enterprises for the development and improving the socio-economic life of Quang Tri people in the coming time./.
