There are 53 planned projects with a total capacity of nearly 4,750 MW, of which 15 projects with a total capacity of 377 MW have been put into operation, 38 projects with a total capacity of 4,370 MW are under investment and implementing investment procedures. In addition, more than 70 projects with a total capacity of about 10,700MW have been submitted to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade by Quang Tri PPC for consideration and inclusion in the planning in the near future.

The Province strives to become the energy center of the central region with a capacity of about 13,000MW to 15,000MW and achieve a power generation capacity of about 4,000MW by 2025. Moreover, there are 29 wind power projects with a total capacity of nearly 1,120MW that are being built, of which about 15 projects will be completed in 2021.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Van Hung - Chairman of Quang Tri PPC expects the investors to focus their resources and ensure on schedule. At the same time, supporting the local people living in the project area, creating long-term livelihoods for them.
