The People's Committee of Quang Tri province has cooperated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a trade fair for the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) - Quang Tri 2022, from July 25-31, 2022 at Cua Viet Tourist Service Centre, Cua Viet town, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province.
The Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) - Quang Tri Trade Fair 2022 is an important trade promotion activity of Quang Tri and the region in 2022. The fair is organized in accordance with the orientation of developing domestic and export markets. This is a great opportunity for strengthening cooperation, promoting economic development, cultural exchanges and experiences, improving competitiveness, expanding markets, promoting brands of imported and exported products to other provinces and cities in Viet Nam and the GMS countries.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Phi Tuong - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Agency (Quang Tri IPA), the standing agency of the Organizing Committee reported the progress of organizing the GMS trade fair. Up to now, there have been nearly 90 domestic and foreign enterprises and trade promotion organizations registered almost 150 standard booths. Quang Tri IPA and Nam Viet Galaxy company completed the design of the detailed floor plan, banners, gates, 3D model of the entire fair.
Speaking at the meeting, representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies also emphasized that it is necessary to ensure the quality of facilities, improve the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic; ensure security, fire and explosion prevention, rescue and traffic safety; check and control the origin of goods.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien emphasized that the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) - Quang Tri Trade Fair 2022 is an important trade promotion activity of the Province and the region for domestic and foreign enterprises and trade promotion organizations in order to strengthen cooperation, promote economic development, cultural exchanges and experiences, improve competitiveness, expand markets, promote brands of imported and exported products to other provinces and citites in Viet Nam and the GMS countries.
