Quang Tri is located in Central of Vietnam, 593km from Hanoi city on the North, 1.120km from Ho Chi Minh city and 170km from Da Nang on the South, surrounded by Savannakhet and Salavan, Laos (with 179.345km border line) on the West, by 75km of seaside on the East.
Quang Tri is an important intersection which is connected by the national arterial roads: National Highway 1A, Ho Chi Minh road (including two branches of East and West), Highway 9 linked to trans-Asia road, National highway 15D, Cam Lo - La Son highway (under preparation for construction) together with the North - South railway route, attached to Cua Viet port and My Thuy deep-water port; about 90km from Dong Hoi - Quang Binh airport on the North and 80km from Phu Bai International Airport - Thua Thien Hue on the South.
